OUR BELIEFS

We believe that God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, yet one God. God is Creator of all things, Preserver and Sovereign. The Spirit of God stirs people to believe in God. Of our own merit, we can never deserve to live with God. God the Father offers forgiveness and heaven to anyone who trusts and confesses that Jesus Christ is his/her Saviour. By Jesus’ blood we are totally forgiven. Because of Jesus’ perfect life and sacrificial death on the cross and the resurrection victory, we are restored to God’s favour and are His beloved people. The Bible is God’s inspired revelation to us and is profitable for teaching and growth in Christ, as our Saviour. We demonstrate our commitment to the Lord by worshipping with others and reading and studying His word together. We believe that all these are possible only by God’s Grace working through the Holy Spirit to form us more and more into the likeness of Christ.

APOSTLE'S CREED

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
On the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian* Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life + everlasting. Amen.

OUR COMMUNITY

To enable us to carry out our purpose as a congregation, we commit ourselves to these specific functions:

WORSHIP - Members of the Body of Christ who are physically able to gather, do so in order to express their praise and thanksgiving to the Triune God.

EDUCATION - God has given the Office of the Ministry to preach and teach and equip God’s people for their ministry and mission in the world.

FELLOWSHIP - All occasions to gather together as a congregation are opportunities for the mutual upbuilding of one another in faith and love.

WITNESS - In word and action the Christian testifies to the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit and the lordship of Jesus Christ. This witness takes place wherever the Christian happens to be: at home, at work, at Church, in the world.

*Christian: the ancient text reads “catholic,” meaning the whole church as it confesses the wholeness of Christian doctrine.
